Best Electric Guitar For Around $300?

Definately get either a Fender Stratocaster (NOT SQUIER) or a Gibson Les Paul or a Epiphone Les Paul. Those are the two most popular guitars for a reason. Because they are GOOD. You can't go wrong with either one of them. I would recommend the Les Paul for heavier distortion playing and overall just more intense playing compare to the Strat which is still a rock guitar but songs like sweet child o mine just wouldn't sound right with it. Epiphone is made by Gibson and the guitars are just as good. Epiphone is just cheaper guitars but they are still excellent. I have a Epiphone Les Paul Jr. It is a great guitar. I wish i would have gotten the Les Paul though.
