PLEASE, help with ringworm!?

My new kitten has ringworm. She gave it to my boyfriend, and now I'm almost positive I'm next. I'm really worried because I'm pregnant, and ringworm is just plain nasty. Can ringworm affect an unborn child? What about infants, and will it be fatal? If my boyfriend gets rid of it before our kitten, will she keep giving it back to him? is it safe to even keep this cat?
