Is ampeg a good bass brand for punk rock?

hola! (lol) anyway my bassist of my band is considering buying an Ampeg BA-112 Tilt Back Bass Combo Amplifier (50 Watts, 1x12 in.) and i was wondering, would it be good for most punk rock songs (we do everything from ska to hardcore to pop punk to indy punk to metal punk) we are looking for some tone, although it doesn't have to be amazing, and so yeah... oh and btw no saying, "ITS PUNK! JUST FIND A RANDOM CRAPPY BASS AMP AND YOU'LL BE FINE" cuz i would rather you not do that.
